GANGWON ART & CULTURE FOUNDATION becomes PARTNER in the BAI Residency Program

The GANGWON ART & CULTURE FOUNDATION (GWCF) becomes partner in the BAI Residency Program at the BERLIN ART INSTITUTE. BAI and GWCF have agreed to build a collaborative partnership conducting the program entitled Cultural and Art Exchange Support Project, which supports overseas placements in arts professionals who have more than 3-year-experience in visual art activities. After the Open Call among Korean artists, curators, and art critics organized by the Gangwon Art & Culture Foundation, the GWCF provided a shortlist of finalists.

Artist Namhee Kwon has been selected for a fully funded residency and takes currently part in Block 07: 06/17 – 07/12/2019 & Block 08: 07/15 – 08/09/2019 of the BAI Studio Program.

Namhee Kwon holds a BFA from Gangneung National University, Korea (1994), as well as an MFA from Honglk University, Korea (1997) and an MA from Goldsmiths College, University of London (2002). Kwon has been awarded numerous awards including grants from the Arts Council England, the Arts Council of Korea, and Arts Council of Seoul.
