Part of this creative energy is the the BERLIN ART INSTITUTE (BAI) – a space dedicated to artistic production, interdisciplinary education, and global cultural exchange.

Located in the Motorwerk Berlin complex in Weißensee, our studios and programs have hosted 600+ artists from over 70 nations, fostering intercultural dialogue and professional development in a supportive and stimulating environment.

What We Offer Partners
Studio Program Highlights
Shared studios are bright and spacious — designed for 3–5 artists with approx. 10 – 15 m² per person.
A Platform for Global Talent
We welcome emerging, mid-career, and established local and international artists, curators, critics, and writers aged 18+ with B2-level English. The program is conducted entirely in English and supports all media and artistic disciplines.
Our Block Dates
The program of the BERLIN ART INSTITUTE is structured in blocks of 4 calendar weeks (CW) each. You can begin your participation in the artist residency at the start of each four-week program block.
