Workshop WATER COLOR AND DRAWINGS by Rachel von Morgenstern

December 06 – 07, 2016, 10 am – 12 noon

Many thanks to the artist Rachel von Morgenstern for introducing our participants to the fundamentals of “WATER COLOR AND DRAWINGS” during the basic course.

Since the 9th century water colors have been used in creating art. They are made using finely ground pigments, Arabic gum and glycerine. The transparent character of water colors and their manifold capabilities make them a favoured choice not only for artists but as well for illustrators. The innovative water color markers and water color sticks open up the possibility to use them with drawings or to develop a painting by using them. I will share their application and properties as well as the respective mediums. Furthermore I will give information on high quality water color paper and water color brushes.” (Rachel von Morgenstern)

Color and materials will be provided by Liquitex and Winsor & Newton.
