Many thanks to the artist Tatiana Echeverri Fernandez for her lecture BEYOND THE CAPITALOCENE – Future Archaeologies of Matter by Tatiana Echeverri Fernandez and discussing the works of our participants within the Studio Program Art Residency at BAI.

“Through selected works and material investigations, this lecture explores deep time, technology and speculative archaeology — from the Neolithic to AI and 3D printing. It asks how matter carries traces of transformation, use and memory, and how artistic practice can open ways of reading the present from the perspective of a future archaeology. Moving between material processes, technological imaginaries and ecological thinking, the lecture considers how objects, tools and infrastructures may be understood across different timescales — as remains, signals, archives or possibilities for future worlds.” (Text courtesy of Tatiana Echeverri Fernandez)
