İpek Seyalıoğlu currently participates in the Studio Program Art Residency at BERLIN ART INSTITUTE during Block 04 & 05, from March 30 – May 22, 2026. Following our call for applications among Berlin-based alumni of the Martin Roth-Initiative in the field of art & culture, she was selected for the residency.

İpek is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice moves between theater, performance, film, poetry, playwriting, live writing, drawing, and acting. She has developed an independent artistic practice shaped by writing, performing, and self-directing. Since arriving in Berlin, she has been working on what she describes as a Theater of Poetry – a performative approach that brings together live writing, drawing, and acting on stage.

Her work explores the intersection of language, body, image, and performance. To date, she has created several stage performances in this form, which she understands as individual scores within a larger artistic medium. Moving between theater and the visual arts, her practice investigates how poetic structures can become spatial, embodied, and performative experiences.

In addition to her own work, İpek is interested in collaborative artistic processes. She has supported other artists in rehearsals, given feedback on developing projects, and organized art events that brought artists together in shared spaces. Her practice is grounded in the belief that artistic freedom is closely connected to mutual support, exchange, and collaboration.

İpek Seyalıoğlu’s BAI Program participation is supported by BAI Studios GmbH in order to promote our non-profit organization BAI Social gUG and attract partners for sustainable and long-term funding.
