Many thanks to the artist Kerstin Cmelka for her lecture “PROFESSION PERFORMER: BUSINESS, MISSION, SPELL” and discussing the works of our participants.
“In her artist lecture Kerstin Cmelka presents her work with performance, film, video and photography (i.g. “Multistablity”, 2006/“Microdramas”, 2007-2013/”The Animals”, 2016) as a starting point to further highlight and discuss selected contents and contexts of the medium performance such as “The Cinema of Attraction”, the acting technique “Method Acting”or independent filmmaking and performance art of the 1960s and 1970s. She investigates the public and private role oft the performer, her or his outer-representation as well as the alternating public reputation in history and context.” (Kerstin Cmelka)
