Many thanks to the curator, researcher and educator Lukas Feireiss for his seminar EXPLORING THE HEALING ARTS and discussing the works of our participants within the Studio Program at BAI | Berlin Artist Residency, Art School, Arts Incubator, and Live Online Courses & Classes.
“Over the last two decades, research into the effects of the arts on health and well-being has substantially increased. According to recent reports by the World Health Organization, the arts play a crucial role in preventing ill health, promoting health, and managing and treating illness throughout one’s life. Lukas Feireiss works as a curator, researcher and educator beyond disciplinary boundaries in the field of art, science and contemporary cultural reflexivity. He studied Comparative Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethnology in Berlin and Rome. He is curator and author of numerous exhibitions and publications and has been teaching at various universities worldwide.
