Seminar ART WRITING AS PRACTICE von Louisa Elderton

Seminar ART WRITING AS PRACTICE von Louisa Elderton

02. – 04. Juni 2020, 10 – 13 Uhr

Vielen Dank an die Autorin, Herausgeberin & Kuratorin Louisa Elderton für ihr Seminar Art Writing as Practice und die Arbeitsbesprechungen mit unseren Teilnehmer*innen innerhalb des Studioprogrammes am BAI | Kunstschule, Kunstinkubator & Artist in Residence in Berlin.

„Why do we write about art? What is the purpose of such reflection and interpretation? How has such a practice developed alongside shifts in ideological, ethical, political and aesthetic approaches? How can you write about your own art or integrate art writing into your practice?

We’ll look at examples of art writing together, discussing different forms and approaches. We’ll also discuss your own art practice together, with the aim of producing a piece of writing that either reflects on your work or may even be part of your work. Using different writing and editing exercises, we’ll develop and share a small body of writing during our time together, honing your skills to critically and creatively reflect on or as art.“ (Text: Courtesy Louisa Elderton)
