Many thanks to the artist Dafna Maimon for her lecture “TRAVERSING EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPES” and discussing the works of our participants.
“Dafna Maimon (b.1982 FI) is an artist based in Berlin. She works with performance, immersive installations, and video, researching the ways in which people construct their identities and behavior; in short, the makeup of people’s emotional landscapes. Interested in directing experiences in her often participatory projects, Maimon tests the limits of stereotypes while facilitating creative therapeutic techniques that place value on empathy. Her projects showcase the economy of affect- based ties as well as materialize through them; her working process always starts from a grain of autobiography. In this talk the artist will present recent projects that deal with the staging of “emotional landscapes” as immersive installations.“ (Dafna Maimon)
