You can learn more about the Studio Program, meet some of our participants and have a look into their studios, the seminar area and reading lounge. Have a drink at the Quino.bar and join us on a tour through the “Motorwerk Berlin“.

The approx. 3.000 m2 production hall built in 1921 already served as an event location called “Die Halle” after German reunification and featured concerts by Kraftwerk, Motörhead, Marianne Rosenberg, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Zucchero, the Ramones, Rio Reiser and many more. From 1991 – 1993 the first Mayday parties took place with famous DJs like Westbam, Sven Väth and Marusha. Wim Wenders filmed the concert by Lou Reed for his movie “In weiter Ferne so nah“ with Otto Sander. In the future the BAI plans to use the hall for its new event format 402.berlin.
