Many thanks to Prof. Houmehr Etminani (Cinematografía, Artes Audiovisuales, Estética) and students from the Facultad de Bellas Artes, Universidad del Atlántico, Barranquilla (Colombia) visiting BERLIN ART INSTITUTE. It was a pleasure exchanging and discussing ideas and visions for the future and providing a comprehensive insight into the Studio Program at BAI | Berlin Artist Residency, Art School, Arts Incubator, and Live Online Courses & Classes.
The students from Columbia presented the you+me project and the call for the 2024 edition, followed up by individual presentations by our participants in the studios.
“you+me has been initiated by artists/professors Houmehr Etminani (Columbia) and Andrea Sunder-Plassmann (Germany) in 2019. It is an international tandem project between several universi.es around the globe, an audiovisual art project in which several artists in training – brought together in pairs – exchange audiovisual correspondence and make a joint film, expressing their point of view about the situation the world is going through at the moment. The idea is to connect young artists from all over the world for an audio-visual dialogue about issues around climate change, ecological footprint, exploitation of natural resources, intercultural dialogue, resilience and many more.” (Text by courtesy of you+me project)
