Seminar EVERYTHING IS A REMIX by Niklas Goldbach

September 26 – 28, 2017, 10 am – 1 pm

Many thanks to the artist Niklas Goldbach for his seminar “EVERYTHING IS A REMIX” and discussing the works of our participants.

Whether you work as a visual artist or filmmaker – everything seems strangely familiar to us. Creativity and culture have always been built on something already existing, but it has never been as easy as in the digital age to distribute and to change the work of others. By means of the artistic strategies of the “reenactment” and the appropriation (the artistic appropriation of “found” material), short and independent experimental, documentary, essayistic or narrative video works will be discussed and/or created which do not conceal their origin – but are original within the own artistic oeuvre.” (Niklas Goldbach)
