ME, MISSING ALL OF YOU von Camila Piana in 404 | BAI

The day that we´ve always talked and laughed about is finally here. I am having an exhibition at 404 BAI. It is time to show my project to the world.

It has been challenging to find the perfect way to navigate through the whole presentation. It begins with the seed, from where everything grew: the circles, the 110 families. They will be on the wall, at the entrance of the exhibition space so that you have to walk through the 401 people involved in this universe.

Across the corridor, to the right, will hang the three pieces showing my connections to each family.

Inside, there will be four of the Stories: The one about your pregnancy, Sheyla´s divorce, the one about the death of Mama Ylda´s two spouses and son, and the piece where you can see Dome being dragged away from Fonchi´s new family.

I have selected thirteen of the ¨family portraits¨ to frame, plus the big one about Los Poppys, a group of friends that feels like a family to me. These are the works that play with geographical locations as well as my recurrent theme of birthdate reductions.

Also Andy is going to prepare a beautiful set for the opening. Music is part of our story, therefore definitely part of this universe.

I really wish you could be here with me. I miss you so much. I will send you photos. Let me know what you think.
