“The title of B. Traven’s novel »Bridge in the Jungle« once again is used for the exhibition of current works by alumni of weißensee academy of art and cooperating institutions. The series was established last year by professor Thaddäus Hüppi and Jana Sperling as part of the program »mind the gap.« The intention remains the same as last year: to build bridges between various institutions of higher learning and their students. In 2015, participating institutions are, in addition to the KUNSTHALLE and weißensee academy of art, the galleries of Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saarbrücken, Hildesheim University, as well as the University of the Arts Bremen and the Berlin Art Institute.” (KUNSTHALLE am Hamburger Platz)
