Many thanks to the artist Nadine Fecht for her seminar “DRAWING IN SITU” at the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek and discussing the works of our participants at the BAI.

“In archeology, the term ‘in situ’ describes a finding situation in which the find is still in its original position at the site of its former use. Only then will it be possible to authentically understand and present the relationships and correlations of the finds to one another and to the environment.

The urban space of Berlin offers just such historical artefacts, be it buildings, squares or social contexts. On-site drawing not only allows the artist to study the object of contemplation and its surroundings but also in the broadest sense to create drawings of subsequent possible implications.” (Text by courtesy of Nadine Fecht)
