“In a state of digital transparency and caused by the social appropriation of aesthetic strategies, the significance of art seems to change. What does it mean for artistic practice, if the metaphor of depth is put out of our mind by a picture of an all embracing network. How do those transformations touch and alter our (artistic) sensibility? In my course I would like to discuss those kind of questions in theory as well as by looking at artworks of participants.” (Thomas Helbig)
