Many thanks to the artists Marisol Ocádiz, Camila Püschel & Ashot Danielyan presenting and performing their collaborative mockumentary Songs to make children cry consisting of Ashot’s & Cami’s poetry, Marisol’s vocals & melodies, and Cami’s videos. The creation & realization of the project was started within the Studio Program at BAI | Berlin Artist Residency, Art School, Arts Incubator, and Live Online Courses & Classes.

“For years we have been listening to Cosmic Babies’ music. No one really knows who they are. They announced a new album coming, called Songs to make children cry. We were invited to a private concert event and were asked to bring our artwork with us.

If you want to sing along (and cry):

Revolver under the pillow

Lonely howl of a siren in the night
Stars reflecting in the broken glass on the sidewalk

Revolver is under the pillow
Revolver is under the pillow
Revolver is under the pillow
Sleep thight my baby love

In your heart,  there’s a humble sacred light
Keep it shining through the universe from your window
Revolver is under the pillow…

The invisible monster

The invisible monster is here again,
he never says a word, just reminds with
his presence how fragile we are.
I wish I had a red plastic sword to fight him
Like a child would do

Buy my bones

Buy my bones at a taxidermy shop
they are right between the skull of mandrill
And fox embryo,
Let them adorn your living room.
Just remember: I was the one who stood
in the line at McDonald’s under the number 321
I was the one who witnessed a seagull
Stealing paprika from a child.
I was the one who dropped a dime into the
glass face of the Pacific Ocean on a November day.
Once I was the one.”
