Many thanks to the curator & art critic Dr. Klaus Speidel for his public lecture When is „AI Art“ Art? on the occasion of the Master Class THE ROLE OF NARRATIVE IN THE VISUAL ARTS: From Miracles and Mystery to the Small Invisible Acts of Human Spirit at BAI | Berlin Artist Residency, Art School, Arts Incubator, and Live Online Courses & Classes.
“Whether you consider it a promise, a curse or even a fad, Generative AI has definitely shaken up the creative industries and keeps triggering strong emotions among creators and artists. In his talk, Dr. Klaus Speidel looks at the arguments behind the emotions, discussing major current controversies and finally hones in on one major question: When is “art“ made with the help of AI art? To do so, he will look at AI generated works in the light of major modern art theories.” (Text by courtesy of Dr. Klaus Speidel)
