“Repetition is a performance inherent parameter, it can be a production tool, a method, the starting point and motor of a performance piece. Repetition can also stand for a specific genre of performance art. Repetition can take place before, while and after the actual performance. In her lecture Cmelka takes a closer look on repetition as a performance inherent, generic multitool through showing and discussing selected examples of performance art (live and for camera) as well as excerpts of her own art work with performance, film and photography.” (Text by courtesy of Kerstin Cmelka)
