Lecture WHEN IMAGES LEARNED RUNNING by Frederik Foert

March 09, 2017, 10 am – 1 pm

Many thanks to the artist Frederik Foert for his lecture “WHEN IMAGES LEARNED RUNNING – The Art in the Movies/The Movies in the Art”.

“From the early cave paintings over Christian altars to the split screen, the attempt to explain the world thru rectangular images is almost as old as the history of mankind. Whether ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, biblical scenes, or mutually clumsy superheroes, the narrative structures are still similar and art and film go hand in hand. The lecture shows the influence of visual art on film and vice versa.” (Frederik Foert)
