A FEW FREE YEARS: FROM ABSALON TO ZOBERNIG

In a collision between high culture and the entertainment industry, the sprawling installations in the exhibition A FEW FREE YEARS conquer the space they occupy. Using painting and sculpture, they address the inscription of media and social structures into our perception of space. In discussions and practical exercises, we will analyze the works in the exhibition and develop strategies for occupying space with our own ideas. The goal will be to investigate high and pop culture and to position these in the context of our own lives. In the process, we will analyze various means of using space to tell stories, converting some of these means into our own spatial constructions and putting them to the test. (Ursula Döbereiner)
