June 21 – 22, 2016, 10 am – 12 noon
Many thanks to the artist Rachel von Morgenstern for introducing our participants to the “PAINTING TECHNIQUE – Oils vs. Acrylics” during the basic course.
“What are the differences between oils and acrylics?
This session gives insight into the many different capacities and characteristics of oils and acrylics. We will talk about the different binders, about the specific mediums and varnishes that match the respective paints. The course gives participants the chance to try out different methods and experiment with materials. The knowledge and best practice we share enables participants to choose their materials.
The first session will be focused on giving information about the materials, the second session gives the possibility to experiment and work on own ideas.” (Rachel von Morgenstern)
Color and materials will be provided by Liquitex and Winsor & Newton.
